Troon – Ballast Bank, Harbour and surrounding area

Photography Challenge

7:30pm - Meet at the Ballast Bank car park (see map link/postcode below - marked P )
Low Tide: 19:10 - Sunset: 20:50  Weather forecast - looks good, see below, subject to change
We may pair up beginners, socially distanced, with more experienced photographers before the challenge commences. Stay 2 m apart, no gathering in groups iaw gov guidelines.
Your challenge this evening is to shoot the following 3 themes, while maintaining social distancing, and taking several photographs during the evening:

1)Harbour/Boats  -  2)Seabird/Seal(s)  -  3)Shore Detail *

* it’s ok to go back to Troon if you want to improve on what you got on the night, and for those who couldn’t get down feel free to try over the following few days. Those who couldn’t get down because of strict isolating, can put a few fresh(newly taken) images up on a general, but challenging, theme that they themselves may choose.

Over the following week you will process and edit your images and select what you think are the best three photographs – one for each of the themes above - no duplicates!

Upload your chosen three to the Challenge Competition on the club website by midnight on Tuesday 4th - https://irvinecc.co.uk/competitions-members

We will review and discuss the results on Wednesday 5th on Zoom.

A select number of images may be used for a feature in the Irvine Herald and Instagram, etc.

Weather looks good for Wednesday

Weather update: now looking good for an evening of calm conditions, maybe a shower, and hopefully some drama in the sky! We look forward to meeting up again after such along while and welcome along a few of our freinds old and new.
