Over the summer we have been lucky to meet some interesting people from all walks of life.  Some are interested in why a bunch of photographers have descended on their area for the evening and come along and chat, others are just out doing their own thing.

Photography, whilst it can be something that you do on your own, can also be a very social endeavour and at Irvine Camera Club we are focussed on community, sharing and making friends through photography.

People always create interest in photographs whether they are the focus of the image or just passing through at the time.  But photography is also a visual record of our time and the images presented here show a snapshot of how using the subject of people in different contexts can create interest but also a visual history of our area.

The Camera Club Autumn seasons is now underway with a packed season of talks, competitions and practical evenings. We meet on Tuesdays, starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL

If you have an interest in photography, would like to see what we are up to and want to be part of an exciting, all-inclusive club then why not come along, you will be made to feel very welcome.  There’s always tea, coffee and biscuits and if you’re lucky Fiona may have been baking.
