Friendly competitions are an important part of most camera clubs and offer photographers the opportunity to have others look at your work and pass comment with the aim of encouraging improvement in our images. The images presented here were submitted as part in Irvine Camera Clubs first annual digital print competition of this season and celebrate the wildlife that out members have seen over the summer.
Wildlife is notoriously difficult to photograph both at a technical level and in just finding suitable subjects that are around when you are. Even when subjects are on hand, finding the right composition or angle is often a mixture of research, planning, hoping, patience and luck. Then there is the weather… so many variables to capturing great images but we still keep trying.
These images show the various interests of our members and the variety of subjects they have captured recently using a variety of techniques and opportunities.
If you have an interest in photography, would like to see what we are up to and want to be part of an exciting, all-inclusive club then why not come along, you will be made to feel very welcome. There’s always tea, coffee and biscuits and if you’re lucky Fiona may have been baking.
We meet on Tuesdays, starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
