Irvine Camera Club continued their summer season of photo walks with a recent trip up to Buchanan Wharf in Glasgow.

This is a favourite area of Glasgow for the club and an area that we revisit every year, often on multiple occasions.  You never know what you are going to see and always provides an opportunity for all sorts of photography.  From landscapes, architecture, wildlife to street or portraiture there is something for everyone no matter what your favourite genre.

Returning to a location over time allows us to document changes that often occur so slowly they are not noticed on a day-to-day basis.  This can be important and can be as simple as a changing skyline, or an area being revitalised, shops closing or the demographic changing.  Over time it becomes important and many photographers have become famous for working in this way, with a long-term view rather than the here and now.

We have many walks left this summer so if you like to come and join us, are interested in photography, you would be made to feel very welcome.  We have a full programme of events for the summer where visitors are most welcome to join us.  If interested, just get in touch.
