Irvine Camera Club have been out and about this week and what better place to be on a glorious sunny evening than Irvine harbour and seafront.  Personally, this is a place I visit often with my camera, right on my doorstep, I am reminded that I don’t have to go far to find great images.  There is always something to photograph, from the scenery to the wildlife, the incredible sunsets and the people and we always have a lot of fun.

People are such an important part of any place and its story and make for great subjects to photograph.  The beachfront on a sunny evening presents an opportunity to meet all sorts of people, locals, visitors, holiday makers.  So many head down to watch the sunset and it’s great to take a step back and watch them.

Meeting people and having people ask what we are doing is one of the benefits about being out as a group.  We can show them what we are doing, tell them about the club, talk photography and often ask them for their portraits.  It’s an interactive experience and makes for a fun, interesting walk and you never know who you might run onto for a chat.

Why not come and join us for one of our walks.  If you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome.  We have a full programme of events for the summer where visitors are most welcome to join us.  If interested, just get in touch.
