This week at Irvine Camera Club we had the pleasure of welcoming Rob Davis from Ayr Camera Club who was judging our third internal club competition of the year. Around 80 images were submitted for this ‘Projected Digital Image’ competition, a huge number for anybody to look through, let alone write about and then present constructive comments about each one.
Our thanks to Rob for his time in preparing this and for visiting to present his comments in person. Listening to someone with experience, comment on images is always interesting and it is a great opportunity to learn about photography and what makes an image work. What are some of the pitfalls to try and avoid both in taking the shot and during the editing process. You may not always agree but there is always something to be taken from an evening such as this.
The images presented here are the overall winning image ‘Stepping Out’ by David Bell and the joint 2nd and 3rd placed images.
