This week at Irvine Camera Club we had the pleasure of welcoming members from Levern Camera Club for our annual friendly knock out competition. With each club submitting sixteen images, they are projected one at a time on the screen anonymously before being projected side by side. Members are then asked to vote on which they like the most and the winner progresses to the next round with supportive and positive comments passed on each disqualified image. This continues until there are only two images left and an overall winner is decided.
This year it came down to ‘The Lonely Shroom’ by Fiona Wallace (Irvine) and ‘Lady Caroline’ by Ivie McLardy (Levern) with ‘Lady Caroline’ voted the overall winner.
It’s a great evening and a highlight of the year with plenty of discussion and socialising around the buffet and raffle and a great opportunity to see what another camera club is doing.
