CELEBRATING OUR WOMEN MEMBERS
If you’ve never been to a camera club before, you might be under the impression that its membership is mainly made up of men who are aged 65 and above. Whilst a few of our members do fall into that demographic, at Irvine Camera Club over one-third of our membership are women.
With this Friday, 8th March 2024 marking International Women’s Day and Sunday, 10th March 2024 being Mother’s Day, this week, we have chosen to focus on the work of some of our female photographers.
Coming from a variety of backgrounds, all our women members have different stories to tell us with their cameras, each drawing from the lessons and experiences of their lifetime. Our female members range from working professional photographers through to those that enjoy capturing moments with their phone camera – there is room for all at Irvine Camera Club.
