Irvine Camera Club were down at Irvine Harbour last week and the images presented here show a different side of the harbour area to that which is immediately obvious. The authors have decided to present them in black and white which feel a little more timeless and suit photographs that suggest a sense of history.
Irvine has a long and interesting history, especially in this area of the town but you don’t have to look far to see evidence of what has gone before and as photographers it is always fascinating to document this in any area that we visit and to try and see how it makes sense in today’s world. There are stories all around us all of the time it we take the time to search them out and they always make for interesting compositions.
Why not come and join us for one of our walks. If you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome. We have a full programme of events for the summer where visitors are most welcome to join us. If interested, just get in touch.
