In the Herald - Taking a Walk

Irvine Camera Club continue their summer season of photo walks with a trip down to the seafront in Ayr.

After meeting at the Ayr seafront car some members decided to explore south along the coast, down towards the Millenium Bridge.  This is a great location for views across Ayr Bay and the Firth of Clyde to Arran as well as straddling the River Doon with its river wildlife.

Other members headed north up towards Ayr town along the Low Green to see what they could find, making the short detour up to Wellington Square where the VE Day memorial was still in place.  This provided the opportunity to create some very poignant and memorable images in the fading light of the evening.

Would you like to come and join us for one of our walks?  If you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome.  We have a full programme of events for the summer where visitors are most welcome to join us.  If interested, just get in touch.
