This week Irvine Camera Club present an eclectic set of images, once again demonstrating the interests that our photographers have and their unique way of seeing the world.
Our season of ‘Summer Photo Walks’ continued last week with a trip to Eglington Park and looking through the images that were submitted, it was interesting to see that there were hardly any of the remains of the Castle.
Our members are always searching for something different and while I’m sure that they all took images of the Castle, they chose to submit images that tell another story, a side of Eglington not seen by many of those who visit. It’s a fantastic place, right on our doorstep that I know a lot of our members visit regularly, full of wildlife, hidden paths, and things that are photographically interesting if you look beyond the obvious.
One of the great things about coming along to one of our photo walks is that we visit these well known locations slightly out of hours which has many advantages on both a technical level and allows for images to be captured that would not be possible during the day.
Irvine Camera Club prides itself on being an inclusive club, open to anyone, any age, who is interested in photography, whatever you use to take photo’s. Being social and getting out is an important part of what we do and who we are as club, and making friends and spending time doing something we enjoy is always at the heart of everything we aim to do.
