This week’s selection of photographs, all taken by members of Irvine Camera Club, were all taken over the last few weeks, during our season of summer photo walks.
This year has seen our photographers explore Ayrshire and celebrate local locations, from the well known to some more unlikely places. We have also revisited places either at a different time of the year or under different weather condition to see what opportunities that would give us.
Returning somewhere, even if you only go once a year, over time can create a document of how a place changes. There are many reasons to go back to a place you know and take photographs.
We also ventured up the road to Glasgow a few times as it never disappoints. There is so much to work with when trying to create engaging imagery and it’s a favourite place to go for a photo walk.
As you can see form this selection, the interests and techniques used to create the images vary amongst our members which is what makes belonging to a club all the more interesting as there is always someone who can show you something new or support and encourage you photographic plans.
Irvine Camera Club prides itself on being an inclusive club, open to anyone, any age, who is interested in photography, whatever you use to take photo’s. Being social and getting out is an important part of what we do and who we are as club, and making friends and spending time doing something we enjoy is always at the heart of everything we aim to do.
