Irvine Camera Club are currently exhibiting some of our members’ framed prints at Crosshouse Hospital.  The club’s work is arranged along one of the walls in the main corridor where we expect it will be viewed by hundreds of patients and visitors.  The exhibition is on until the end of February so if you are in the vicinity, please take the time to have a good look.  All the framed photos are available to purchase.  To whet your appetite, we are featuring some of the exhibition photographs in this week’s paper.  Seeing the original versions mounted and printed on high quality photographic paper adds another dimension to the images, so I would encourage you to take the opportunity to see them while you can.

The club now has a busy few months as we head towards the climax of our season.  As well as the culmination of the club’s annual competitions we also have several excellent speakers lined up, including our keynote speaker, Nick Hanson on 14th March.  Nick is professional photographer who has spent the last seven years living and working in Skye.  He is also a regular contributor to the Photography Online YouTube channel.  The club is selling tickets for his talk “A Journey to Skye” where he will tell the story of his life and work on the island, accompanied by some of his amazing photography.

If you would like to purchase tickets to see Nick’s talk please don’t hesitate to contact the club via our website www.irvinecc.co.uk

In the meantime if you are keen to improve your photography we are still accepting new members and you will be assured of a very warm welcome, along with a cup of tea and a biscuit, any Tuesday evening at the Irvine Community Sports centre.
