Portencross is a very special place to visit whatever the weather. It has stunning views of the islands across the Firth Of Clyde, a Castle, a small port, and is a great place to start exploring the coast and hills with plenty of local history to find out about.
Members of Irvine Camera Club spent an interesting evening exploring the sights and taking some great images of everything it has to offer. The castle is an obvious feature but many of us went looking for other things to photograph and we were rewarded with meeting some lovely people, out enjoying the evening.
As has been a feature of the summer this year, the lovely evening soon descended into a mist as the clouds dropped in on us, but it created some interesting landscapes but with no pub/café/ice cream parlour/fish and chip shop nearby the evening was brough to a close as everyone headed off home. It produced some lovely images for members some of which are presented here.
If you would like to come and see what we are up to this week, we meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
