Every year Irvine Camera Club challenge our members to try to recreate a famous photo.  This year our members took their inspiration from movies, albums, art work as well as iconic photographs.  Some of the more humorous creations were put together in the club’s well-equipped studio in Dreghorn.   Tracy Ross’s “Dumb & Dumber” got one the biggest laughs of the evening, as did my camera club focussed version of the Trainspotting poster… “Photoshopping”

Justyna Pawelska expertly reproduced the iconic 20th century photography “Glass Tears” by Man Ray, and Joanne Redford recreated Andy Warhol’s  Banana print by photographing painted bananas with her mobile photo.

Andy Tye and Colin Duffy both produced their versions of the cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”, and Colin also gave The Smith’s album “Hatful of Hollow” a go – carefully recreating the lighting and the posing.

There were many other fantastic photos unveiled on the night, some of which are showcased here.
