At Irvine Camera Club we have been celebrating our members work over the last year through our end of year ‘Annual Digital Projected Image’ competition’. It marks the end of our indoor season as we start our Spring/Summer outdoor photography walk season.
This year saw an incredible range of images with our members demonstrating their interest in all types of subjects and techniques.
Some of our members are frequent travellers and images of places on the other side of the world are always interesting and show a side of life that we don’t get to see. Most of the best images we ever see show us something that we wouldn’t normally come across and I think that is one of the great things about photography. But it doesn’t always have to be exotic, it can also be local, created in a studio or at home. We encourage creativity and being bold with your photography in order to create something that stands out or results in an emotional reaction to what is being shown.
Our season of summer social walks has now started, so if you ever feel like you would like to know more about photography or if any of these images have inspired you pick up a camera then you’d be very welcome to come along and share in the passion of photography with other like minded people.
