Our spring and summer season of photo walks is now well under way at Irvine Camera Club and it’s been a great start with high attendances and good weather, there’s been plenty to photograph.
The images presented here were taken a couple of weeks ago on our first trip out to Saltcoats. People are always interesting to photograph and it’s a great record of those we get to meet, chat to and spend time with. Often people approach us and ask to be photographed which is always nice, especially for those members who find asking strangers if they would mind being photographed a ‘awkward’.
The good people of Saltcoat’s didn’t let us down either as you can see from this collection, there were plenty of ‘characters’ around and so if you see us about over the next few months come and say hello and have a photo taken.
Irvine Camera Club prides itself on being an inclusive club, open to anyone, any age, who is interested in photography, whatever you use to take photo’s. Many members use their phones and some members are using older traditional methods, from film cameras to chemical developing techniques. The social aspect is an important part of what we do and who we are as club, and making friends and spending time doing something we enjoy is always at the heart of everything we aim to do.
So, if you would like to know more about photography or if any of these images have inspired you pick up a camera then you’d be very welcome to come along on one of our summer social walks.
