In our recent ‘Panel Competition’ our club members were asked to curate 5 images on a theme to be presented as individual images but also together as a panel with a statement outlining their project.  This is similar to the process of gaining accreditation from one of the many photographic institutes in this country and is a good exercise in learning how to plan a project, work towards a deadline, curate images and learn how to tell a story.

It always produces some of the very best work from our club and is now a highlight of the year with many members now exploring a project-based approach to their photography.  This has also opened up opportunities within the local community, allowing us to work, help and support local groups.

A sample of some of the images entered are presented here.

Irvine Camera Club is a community based photographic club.  There is something for everyone, so if you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome.

We meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
