This week we present some more black and white images that were presented in our recent Mono Print Competition. These images show a variety of subjects that have been photographed with weather playing a part in the final image.
A slow shutter speed can create movement as seen in the clouds and trees, whilst Ailsa Craig is dragging the clouds as they past by. The weather also plays a part in creating a mood for an image as in the other examples. There are a couple of images where the weather, often the backdrop for a scene, isn’t obviously a part of the image but without the light on the day the photograph may never have been taken. It’s such an influential part of the process.
Our full programme of talks, events and competitions that take place throughout the autumn and winter has just started. We meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
