Its festival time again and with so much going on every weekend, it’s hard to keep up with the photographic opportunities this gives us. Last weekend a few members of Irvine Camera Club headed over to Edinburgh for perhaps what is the most famous festival of all, the Edinburgh festival.
The Fringe Festival is a highlight of the year and attracts all manner of performers and visitors and is a goldmine for portrait and street photographers who are looking to add creative and interesting images to their portfolio. Images like this can only be captured at this time of year with the streets full of colour and self-expression and everyone seemingly in a joyful mood, out enjoying themselves.
The images presented here hopefully give you a sense of the day and some of the people that they met.
We still have lots of walks to come this summer, If you wish to join us, you’re very welcome — no experience necessary, just bring your curiosity! Everyone is invited, whether you’re a beginner, an experienced photographer, a family member, a visitor to the area, or simply someone interested in what we do.
