This week we are highlighting more images from our recent print competition with a look at a selection of photographs taken of people. Taken in a variety of places, some posed, some more natural and using a variety of techniques, people are always an interesting subject to photograph and work with.
Given the continuous abundance and diversity, photographers will always find subjects of interest. We are also lucky that just up the road in Glasgow, there is always something going on involving people and even during inclement weather, the distinctive architecture provides a dramatic and atmospheric backdrop that can enhance the quality of images.
Whether capturing people as they go about their daily lives unaware of your camera, documenting people taking action, out just enjoying themselves, competing in sport or being in control of every aspect under controlled conditions in a studio, there are a variety of skills a photographer needs to learn in order to capture stunning, creative images and they are often different from one genre to another. People as a subject provide a wealth of opportunity to improve skills and try out new things.
If you have an interest in photography, would like to see what we are up to and want to be part of an exciting, all-inclusive club then why not come along, you will be made to feel very welcome.
We meet on Tuesdays, starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
