Members of Irvine Camera Club were out on a photo walk again last week.  This time the destination was Dumfries on a lovely sunny afternoon.  For some this was their first time exploring the town and its surroundings and it’s always interesting to see how different subjects appeal to different members of the club.

The images presented here a small sample of some of the images taken on the trip, from small details on buildings, wildlife, abstract images and close ups.  If you wish to see more of the work created on our trips we hold regular review nights where we look through images taken on a number of recent walks and it’s a lovely way to meet new members and for people to find out more about us.

If you would like to join us on one of our friendly walks, you don’t need a flashy camera, all you need is the camera on your phone or an interest in photography.  We have members who are complete beginners through to professionals with a wide range of skills that they are happy to pass on so if you are interested in photography why not come and get involved.

Irvine Camera Club is very active on a weekly basis and have upcoming photo walks to The Isle Of Bute, Buchanan Wharf and the Clyde bridges in Glasgow and Culzean.  There is also a full programme of talks, events and competitions throughout the autumn and winter.  Full details can be found on FB and Insta and on our website: https://irvinecc.co.uk/programme
