In the Herald - Creative shots across such a wide spectrum

I hope everyone had a great Christmas, in spite of the ongoing restrictions that we are all having to live with.  For the final Irvine Camera Club article of the year we are bringing you a fresh selection of images from the first few months of our 2020/2021 season.  I think these photographs illustrate the varied interests of our members as well as showing just how good they are at the art and craft of photography.

As I’ve said many times since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the club is having to operate virtually for now.  It is difficult not being able to see each other each week in person, but we continue to do ok.  We inspire each other to get better, with the added extra incentive of competition to push us out of our comfort zones.  Many of us are also using the additional time at home to learn and hone new skills and techniques.

I hope you enjoy these images and that, in turn, that they may inspire you to do more photography yourself.   Everyone at Irvine Camera Club wishes you and everyone dear to you a very happy, prosperous and healthy New Year.  I look forward to showing you more of our photographs in 2021, and perhaps even welcoming you along to the club one Wednesday evening.  Until then, take care and keep safe.
