Competitions are always a fun part of the calendar for any camera club and our first one of this season was no exception.  Thank you to Susan Spence for her time looking through the submitted images, writing comments and then visiting to deliver the results in person.  It’s a lot of work and an expert eye on our images is greatly appreciated with everyone learning a lot from the experience.

The best overall image was a portrait called “Laura’ by Stephen Kerr, with strong contenders placed in second and third places.  The first competition of the season is always interesting as it’s the first chance to see the work that members have been doing over the summer months, demonstrating new techniques or an improvement in a certain area and of course many images from the various trips they have made as well.  I hope that you enjoy those presented here today.

The Camera Club Autumn season is now underway with a packed season of talks, competitions and practical evenings. We meet on Tuesdays, starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL

If you have an interest in photography, would like to see what we are up to and want to be part of an exciting, all-inclusive club then why not come along, you will be made to feel very welcome.  There’s always tea, coffee and biscuits and if you’re lucky Fiona may have been baking.
