At Irvine Camera Club we have just started our 26-27 Season and if you have an interest in photography, you would be very welcome to come along and see what the club us all about.
The images this week were all taken by our members on the theme of water and show the different interests to the members featured. Water is always a popular subject for photography, especially in this area as we are surrounded by so many options when it comes to creating photographic images. From the incredible coastal views through to the lochs and rivers there is an abundance if opportunity in whatever the weather is doing.
In these images you will see examples of both colour and black and white, which often seems dependent on the weather, but also of ‘Intentional Camera Movement’ and some of the many people and activities we find ourselves witness to when out and about. The image of the plane and the gannets was taken on a trip out to Aisla Craig and is a reminder to us all to look up occasionally, especially when out on the water.
Irvine Camera Club prides itself on being an inclusive club, open to anyone, any age, who is interested in photography, whatever you use to take photos. Being social and getting out is an important part of what we do and who we are as club, and making friends and spending time doing something we enjoy is always at the heart of everything we aim to do.
If you would like to know more about photography or if any of these images have inspired you pick up a camera then we have a packed schedule of weekly events including talks, walks, practical nights, community exhibitions, competitions and so much more going on this year.
