This week at Irvine CC we had the pleasure of welcoming Campbell Skinner to present his judging comments on our Colour Print Competition.  It is always interesting to hear the views of others on our work and we are grateful to Campbell for all his hard work and thoughtful advice on each image.  One of the points raised with many of the images was the question of “how it makes you feel?”  It’s a great question and should be forefront in our mind when choosing images for display whether at home, exhibition or for competition.  Good ‘art’ always makes you feel something so ask yourself this when looking through images next time.

The images presented here are the overall winner -Tracy Ross with her image of the waxwing and a selection of joint 2nd and 3rdplace winners.  This sample of images demonstrate the varied interests and high quality work being done by our members.

Our full programme of talks, events and competitions that take place throughout the autumn and winter has just started.  We meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
