This week at Irvine Camera Club we had the pleasure of welcoming Peter De Marco to the club who was announcing the results of our most recent print competition. Print is still an important part of our work as photographers and often creates better quality images than their digital counterparts. Comments were made on the images submitted with invaluable advice on how they might be improved but also on the way that they were presented to the judge. This included comments based on the cropping, the size of the mount through to the type of paper that was chosen.
The overall winner was Andy Tye’s image of the cricketers with these other images placed a very close 2nd and 3rd. Thank you to Peter for his time and consideration of our work and for an entertaining evening that has generated much discussion amongst members.
Irvine Camera Club is a community based photographic club. There is something for everyone, so if you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome.
We meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
