Irvine Camera Club are out and about every week over the summer, exploring areas that are new and returning to those we have been to before to see what has changed. Last week we took a photographic walk along the River Ayr, up past the College to the stepping stones and back. A beautiful warm, sunny evening meant that people were out enjoying the scenery and there was activity on the river as well, so plenty to see and observe.
For photographers this is an interesting part of Ayr to explore as there is a contrast between the natural environment, the woods, the river, the wildlife and fauna compared to the straight lines of the architecture of the nearby buildings. Yet, if you look closely, there’s also a blending of the two in the reflections of the sky in the glass, in the plants that grow alongside the buildings and even in the stepping stones across the river. None of this was lost on our keen-eyed photographers.
Would you like to come and join us for one of our walks? If you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome. We have a full programme of events for the summer where visitors are most welcome to join us. If interested, just get in touch.
