This time of year is my favourite as I cross my fingers that it stays dry and we have some sun to bring out the autumn colours that are fast approaching. It is always a great time of the year for photography, the light is softer and places are generally quieter, as the summer visitors depart for another year.
It is also a time to look back over the summer and take a look at the trips we enjoyed from Millport to Glasgow, to Ayr and the surrounding towns and realise how lucky we are to live in a part of the world with such a varied landscape, full of interesting places and people with constantly changing light and weather. No two trips are ever the same even when re-visiting the same place. It’s perfect for photographers who like to be out and about and I will be making the most of the next few months.
The Camera Club Autumn seasons is now underway with a packed season of talks, competitions and practical evenings. We meet on Tuesdays, starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
If you have an interest in photography, would like to see what we are up to and want to be part of an exciting, all-inclusive club then why not come along, you will be made to feel very welcome. There’s always tea, coffee and biscuits and if you’re lucky Fiona may have been baking.
