This week at Irvine Camera Club we packed up our cameras and headed out across the water to Great Cumbrae.

Over the last few weeks Irvine Camera Club have had an exhibition of photographs up in the library in Millport and so the trip, in part, was to go and see the work displayed.

We had a turnout of over 20 member’s and I don’t think the island locals had ever seen so many photographers turn up at once before which generated a lot of discussion as we wandered around saying hello.  The rest of the day was spent exploring and taking images in the glorious weather.

It was also fantastic to see that one of our members, Moira, had sold her photo of the puffins which is going to look great on the wall of the new owners house.

Irvine Camera Club is a community based photographic club.  There is something for everyone, so if you are interested in photography and would like to come along, you would be made to feel very welcome.

We meet on Tuesdays starting at 7.30 at Irvine Community Sports Club, Waterside, Marress Roundabout, Irvine KA12 8DL
